Connecting the dots, together.
Meet Kat, Founder & Physical Therapist
Dr. Kathryn T. Newton, PT, DPT
Hi everyone, I’m Kat- & I’m truly so glad you found your way here!
I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in pelvic & women’s health, & my passion is helping others overcome pelvic floor dysfunction so they can feel strong, confident, & connected to their bodies again.
I take a “whole-body”, & manual approach to pelvic rehab so you can overcome your symptoms for good. My goal is to create a warm, safe, & comfortable environment (with an occasional sprinkle of humor when appropriate) where you feel supported, & encouraged throughout your care.
A little more about me:
I’m a Florida native who somehow survived several years living (& freezing!) in Chicago, where I worked at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab — the #1 rehabilitation hospital in the country. It was there that my passion for pelvic health deepened while working alongside some of the most complex cases & innovative treatments in rehab. That experience shaped me tremendously as a clinician & helped define the kind of care I wished to offer & the environment I hoped to create one day.
When I moved home to Florida in 2020, I opened Rythm with a strong vision of creating a pelvic rehab clinic that blended high-level clinical care with a calmer, more personal experience for those struggling with pelvic issues.
After several wonderful years in Melbourne Beach, I welcomed my daughter & took what I thought would be an “extended” maternity leave. What started as a temporary pause from the clinic turned into a fuller season of motherhood- later welcoming my son, transitioning into mentoring & educating other pelvic health therapists (which I still do & love!), & trusting I’d reopen Rythm when the timing felt right.
I’m so excited that the time is finally here & to be back in the clinic, returning to the work that first inspired all of this.
Outside the clinic, I love all things cliché “beach life” — sunrise & sunset walks, paddle boarding, attempting to surf, bike rides, yoga, Pilates, & my latest hobby: trying to convince myself I enjoy running. Most of all, I love spending time with my husband, two young kids, & our fluffy golden retriever.
My family & I love calling the Space Coast home, & it means so much to serve this amazing community.
My Treatment Philosophy:
I believe that pelvic floor therapy should look both at the pelvis & beyond.
As a manual-based pelvic health specialist, I blend hands-on treatments with movement and exercise that reflects how your body works in your real life. My goal is to uncover the root cause of your symptoms, connect the bigger picture, and make healing feel clear, approachable, and empowering.
Above all, I bring warmth, comfort, and a “no-judgment” vibe to every visit. Rythm is a space where you can show up exactly as you are and feel genuinely cared for from our first conversation. We’ll work together, problem-solve, and yes, when appropriate, probably laugh a little too.
My hope is to help you feel strong, confident, and able to return to the parts of life you cherish most — without limitation.
